Wednesday, 10/10/2012 – 118 A.D.
Not surprisingly, today was pretty much spent in recovery. I woke up feeling as drunk as I was when I went to bed and just about made it to the eerie breakfast room before it closed. Tim took longer to rise, still in pain from his arm, but I'm happy to say that as the day went on all feeling returned to it - last time he’ll be wearing those plimsolls in the wet! Our only outing in the afternoon was to book our seats on the next train journey. It was a long walk, but I felt that we needed it. Come evening the most we could be bothered with was a quick trip to Pizza Hut to buy the smallest ham and pineapple pizzas we’d ever seen in our lives. Then, by about 22:00 we had fully deflated and packed up our things. Excess doesn’t pay, does it? We both made a vow that we would never drink alcohol again before tomorrow night.
